SEPTEMBER 2021. The Art Museum, 2, Grigore Antipa Street, invites visitors to contemplate the work “Peasants” – oil / cardboard, belonging to the painting collection, a work whose creator is Camil Ressu (b. January 28, 1880, Galați – d. April 1, 1962, Bucharest).
“He painted and interpreted our Romanian life, the only truly Romanian life, of the peasant enclosed between waters, forests, skies and hearth”, wrote Tudor Arghezi about Camil Ressu’s painting.
