During June, at the Fine Arts Museum, Antipa Street No. 2, the public can watch the work of Michaela Eleutheriade, View to the lighthouse, belonging to the collection of modern and contemporary paintings.
Micaela Eleutheriade (17 June 1900 – 18 December 1982) was one of the great Romanian painters and direct descendant, through the mother, from the painter George Tattarescu’s family.
Student in the country, in Bucharest, class Strâmbu, Serafim and Cecilia Storck Cuţescu, and in Paris at the Ranson Academy and Bissiere’s studio, the painter extracted multiple influences from the experience of her studies and synthesized them in her own manner.
