Metal vessels collection (302 pieces) has its special place in the ethnographic heritage.
The diversity of the collection is given by metals used (copper, iron, silver, lead) and manufacturing and decoration techniques (cutting, piercing, hammering, rolling, polishing, incising, grinding, riveting, bending).
As a matter of fact, these pieces have spread beyond the Dobrudja area, being present in all Balkans’ world. In Dobrudja they are used in the traditional daily life of Romanians, Macedo–Romanians, Bulgarians, Turks and Tartars.
Both functional (used in daily life and ceremonies of customs) and aesthetic, the metal vessels prove the perfect joining between craft and art, but the cultural contact between different civilisations also.
